Mean Green

Getting greenies in your diet can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. When you think greens you think bitter and not super tasty. But trust me, in a juice combo, not only do they taste great, but you’re getting all the goodies from your greenies.

Upping your greens is one of the best ways to stimulate a mini-detox in the body. Imagine if you stared the day with one of these bad-boys each morning for 2 weeks – the whites of your eyes will be the clearest they’ve ever been!

 

Quirky Fact: Granny smith green apples stimulate digestive secretions, whereas, sweeter red apples are higher in antioxidants but don’t have the same effect on digestion. So green sour apples to help increase digestive enzymes, and the red ones give you antioxidants. So what’s better? Mix it up! I think grannies taste loads better in this combo.

 

Ingredients

2 handfuls of spinach, one handful of coriander leaves (aka: cilantro), 1 lime, 1 cucumber, 1 handful of mint, thumb of ginger, 1 granny smith apple
